Android has the unfortunate habit of turning the screen off after some period of inactivity. For a live teleprompter, this isn’t really what you want – you want to keep your song display on without having to unlock your tablet multiple times during a gig.
So I built LivePrompter to keep the screen on and de-activate this screensaver. Since I don’t see a real use-case for having the screen lock automatically for a live teleprompter, I haven’t made this configurable – this is just automatic and should take care of itself!
If you really have a solid reason to want this function configurable, get in touch with me and explain why this is necessary – I’ll consider it 😎…
